Forgotten Dogs Rescue

One of the things I said I'd do in my quest to "be the person your dog thinks you are" is to volunteer with a local shelter or rescue. When we were in touch about adopting a dog from them I also asked Forgotten Dogs Rescue if they needed any photography, since I don't have a whole lot of their skills to offer.

Today I headed down to Mud Bay in Kent to shoot the dogs that were at their adoption event and let's just say, there are worse ways to spend a Saturday afternoon than getting snuggles from a bunch of adorable pit bulls!

If you are interested in any of the dogs please visit the Forgotten Dogs Rescue website or Facebook, you can't go wrong with any of these sweet dogs!

This is Blue, a 100lb bundle of adorable. Don't be fooled by his size, he's as sweet as can be and just wants to snuggle! Read more about Blue here.

This is Miss Kenzie and yes she is ALWAYS smiling! Read more about this pocket sized bundle of love here.

Mika is another pocket pittie who loves to smile and get belly rubs from her people! Read more about Mika here.

This little guy is Baloo and he's just a young thing at 6 months old but he's already captured many hearts! Read more about Baloo here.

This is Baloo's smaller brother (same litter) Fozzie and he's just the cutest! He's not quite ready for adoption yet but when his page goes up I'll be sure to link to it :)

That's all the adoptable dogs, but the two below went home to their furever homes today and it made me so happy!

Brody found his furever home today and it was such a beautiful thing to witness! Lucky guy is going to have a great life.

Winnie found her furever home today! She's had a bit of a wait and came from a bad situation but she's found her perfect family to live out the rest of her life in happiness. I choked up a bit when they were leaving with her. Bonus points: they were Scottish!
